Summit Makes It Happen In North West
Manufacturing leaders will set out their agenda for change in the North West at the second Manufacturers' Summit at Bolton's Reebok Stadium on Thursday 23 October.
"Making it Happen" is the theme of a free, one-day summit, organised by The Manufacturing Institute, in association with The Northwest Development Agency A strategy for the future of North West manufacturing will be presented by the hosts, alongside a keynote address from: Jacqui Smith, Minister of State for Industry and the Regions

Workshops will showcase examples of manufacturing excellence - featuring case studies by representatives from Siemens, Jaguar, Leyland Trucks, Colman's Unilever, Blick, CHK Engineering, Rexam Glass, ABB and PDS.
Commented Neville Chamberlain, Chairman of The Manufacturing Institute: "At the summit we will be sharing our vision for North West manufacturing as the bedrock of our economy and a vital part of future prosperity and pride.
This vision is of tightly focused and nimble businesses delivering innovative products and services that compete across the world." Added Bryan Gray, Chairman of The Northwest Development Agency: "Manufacturing is a key economic driver in the North West, employing 430,000 people and accounting for 25% of GDP, which is significantly more than the national average at 20%.
In today and tomorrow's competitive global marketplace it is imperative that we work together to find long lasting solutions for boosting manufacturing competitiveness and productivity in the region." Early registration for the free event is essential.
