The event at Bolton's Reebok Stadium on Tuesday, June 28, is being held by the Manufacturing Advisory Service North West (MAS NW), which is delivered in the region by the Manchester-based Manufacturing Institute.
The conference, which is supported by the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA), will herald the significant strides made to revolutionise manufacturing processes and productivity techniques.
In combination with massive culture changes, these have helped the North West sector sharpen its competitive edge, achieving the highest regional output in England with a rise by more than 6% since 1998.

Summit Makes It Happen In North West
Manufacturing leaders will set out their agenda for change in the North West at the second Manufacturers' Summit at Bolton's Reebok Stadium on Thursday 23 October.
Top manufacturing leaders from companies including BAE Systems, Siemens, Coca-Cola and Westinghouse, will be among the keynote speakers; together with TUC General Secretary Brendan Barber, Nick Brayshaw, chairman of the CBI's Manufacturing Council and global commentators - including Dr Robert Hall ('The Doc'), a founder of the US Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME).
Steven Broomhead, Chief Executive of the Northwest Regional Development Agency, said: "With an annual turnover of more than £59 billion, the Northwest is the most productive manufacturing region in England.
This conference is an opportunity to celebrate this success, salute the manufacturing excellence in the region, and to face the challenges and opportunities for the future.
However, it is vital that we continue to build upon our strong position, and by working alongside our partners like the Manufacturing Institute, the NWDA will strive to drive up the productivity and competitiveness of our region's manufacturers." "There are great achievements to celebrate and the event will be using these to signal the way for future manufacturing success", said Julie Madigan, chief executive of The Manufacturing Institute, which marks its tenth anniversary this year as an organisation supporting North West manufacturing.
"We will be looking at how the sector stood ten years ago and at where it is today, examining the trends during that period and the techniques employed by successful manufacturers to address key issues." Advance tickets for the conference are available at subsidised rates to manufacturing companies in the North West as part of the support provided by MAS to deliver high impact productivity improvement programmes.
