Meachers Group Holdings is expanding services by establishing a new partnership with China Outsourcing, a company dedicated to sourcing sub-contract manufacturing in China.

Meachers Group Holdings has continued to expand its range of value-added services by establishing a new partnership with China Outsourcing, a company dedicated to sourcing commodities and sub-contracted manufacturing in China By utilising this unique service, it is anticipated that UK companies will be able to save up to 50% on product sourcing and manufacturing costs

This low cost, low risk solution for outsourcing in China provides companies with a single supply source from the initial placement of an order through to delivery to the final destination.

China Outsourcing is in a unique position to handle all aspects of the sourcing process.

The company has registered offices in both the UK and China, staffed by English and Chinese speaking managers who are fully trained in QA and QC procedures.

China Outsourcing oversees the identification and sourcing of commodities and the sub-contracting of component manufacture.

Throughout the sourcing procedure, the company carries out ongoing process reviews and quality checks to ensure that all goods reach the required standard.

From the point of manufacture in China, Meachers Group Holdings utilises its freight forwarding division, Oast Agenices, to undertake shipment, customs clearance and entry into the UK.

From arrival in the UK, Meachers offers a wide range of delivery options to suit specific requirements.

Goods can be despatched to one of their warehouses for devanning, storage and onward movement, delivered direct to a client's door or, alternatively, can deliver products direct to their clients' customers.

Commenting, Gary Whittle, commercial manager of Meachers Group Holdings said: "As a partnership we are able to evaluate a company's business requirements and offer a solution that could save substantial costs on sourcing, manufacturing and delivery, whilst ensuring that quality remains at the highest level." According to global management consulting firm A T Kearney's latest 'Assessment of Excellence in Procurement', the dramatic increase in the sourcing of goods and services from low-cost supply markets such as China has not, to date, been matched by growth in the knowledge and understanding of these markets.

The study of procurement practices at 275 international companies, the largest and most comprehensive global procurement study conducted to date, found that companies were not effectively cultivating the necessary skills associated with overseas sourcing.

In addition, it found that only 53 percent had implemented strategies that indicated a clear understanding of the logistics supply chain and costs associated with emerging market alternatives.

"Sourcing from China is fast becoming a competitive necessity", says Chris Mooney, managing director of China Outsourcing.

"A company's search for sub-contracted manufacturing or products from China can now begin in the UK." This exciting new partnership between Meachers Group Holdings and China Outsourcing provides all companies, whatever their size, with the tools to source from China, enabling them to access first class resources and enjoy the competitive edge that they provide.

The combination of expertise and experience provides a unique solution to a complex situation.
