Murex Welding Products has introduced new air and water cooled welding packages featuring the new Transmig 423S and 523S electronic microprocessor controlled heavy duty power sources They are designed for fabrication and repair work in a wide variety of industries including earth moving equipment, railway rolling stock, structural steelwork, turbine manufacture, offshore equipment, shipbuilding and hardfacing

In combination with either the rugged Transmatic Lynx 4EHD wire feed unit, or when working as far as 70 metres away from the power source, with the Suitcase II wire feeder, superb welding performance up to 420A or even 520A at 60% duty according to model can be provided.
With arc voltage being monitored at the torch, both the 423S and 523S are able to run with cable lengths up to 70m without performance degradation.
Digital volt/amp metering is standard with a useful Last Reading Hold feature.
In addition, to cover the full range of wire types and shielding gases that can be used, both power sources incorporate three inductance level settings.
The Migpak 423S air cooled package consists of Transmig 423S, Transmatic Lynx 4EHD, MXA404 MIG Torch, 5m Interconnections, and a 3.5m work return lead.
The water cooled package features a Water Adaptor kit, Water Hoses, and an MXW 454SC Torch.
