Heavy duty AC/DC power sources adjusted
precisely
Heavy duty TIG/MMA AC/DC power sources, tested to meet with the requirements of BSEN60974-1, offer extremely precise adjustment and control of welding parameters.
Three new industrial Transtig AC/DC welding packages from Murex Welding Products provide high quality TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) or MMA (Manual Metal Arc) welding in either AC or DC process modes The Transtig AC/DC201iS, 203iS and 353iS are designed for industrial applications

Heavy duty arc welders operate for AC or DC
AC/DC heavy duty welding packages, designed for industrial applications, provide high quality TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) or MMA (Manual Metal Arc) welding in either AC or DC process modes.
Steels up to 6mm welded from 240V supply
Capable of welding 0.8mm to 6mm mild steels, as well as stainless or aluminium, a compact arc welder operates off 240V supply and has a welding range of 30 to 185A.
Reliable MIG welder facilitates thin-wall joints
Providing high quality joints in thin sheet metals down to 0.5mm place growing demands on MIG welding equipment and operators, which is why reliable TIG weld process control is essential.
They are heavy duty power sources which have been tested to meet with the requirements of BSEN60974-1 "Safety Requirements for Arc Welding Power Sources".
Each power source is based on high frequency switching inverter technology, in combination with a software driven micro-processor based controller.
This provides extremely precise adjustment and control of welding parameters and class leading AC or DC performance.
All power sources can operate all types of MMA electrodes, including cellulosics.
Full remote control facilities with variable start point current are also offered.
The Transtig AC/DC201iS operates from single phase 240 volt supply, whilst the 203iS and 353iS use balanced three-phase 415 volt supplies.
Features include preset digital setting of all welding parameters, current, slopes and pulsing detail.
A high visibility LED display of welding voltage, current, times and frequencies gives the welder instant, clear information.
One of the benefits of AC TIG operation is that there is no need for continuous HF for arc maintenance.
A balanced electricity supply line draw, high efficiency and power factor, full pulsing facilities and digital metering of both welding current and voltage are also significant user benefits.
All the new Transtig power sources are available as complete welding packages inclusive of TIG torch and switch, torch accessory kit, work return, gas hose, regulator and flow meter.
The 201iS and 203iS package are available in both water and air cooled versions, whilst the 353iS is water cooled only.
A range of optional extras are available.
These include a high efficiency TIG torch water cooler with an audible low flow alarm.
A Transtig Trolley unit to carry the power source, water cooler and gas cylinder is also offered. Request a free brochure from Murex Welding Products ...
