Steels up to 6mm welded from 240V supply
Capable of welding 0.8mm to 6mm mild steels, as well as stainless or aluminium, a compact arc welder operates off 240V supply and has a welding range of 30 to 185A.
Reliable MIG welder facilitates thin-wall joints
Providing high quality joints in thin sheet metals down to 0.5mm place growing demands on MIG welding equipment and operators, which is why reliable TIG weld process control is essential.
The principle of Safety First has been the motivating force behind all Saffire product developments.
That original Saffire nozzle mix gas welding and cutting system has evolved today into the Saffire 5 welding and cutting outfit which has been sold more than any other similar products of its type from any other manufacturer.
It is estimated that in 2005 there could have been as many as half a million in use throughout the world.

MIG welder built to out-perform the competition
A three phase powered composite industrial MIG welder offers rugged reliability, simple to set controls, positive and powerful wire feeding.
In 1956, the immediate impact of Saffire was to simplify the oxy-fuel welding and cutting procedure.
The equipment was designed to be virtually maintenance free and also ensured that the mixing and handling of two of the most reactive gases known oxygen and acetylene was no longer a high risk operation.
In achieving these two criteria, in a simple and reliable product for the very first time, Saffire was a success from day one.
The subsequent 50 years have seen many milestones for the brand including in 1966 a Design Centre Award for the Saffire 3, thanks to its durability, leak prevention characteristics and the ability to change from welding to cutting by hand with a secure and safe gas tight seal.
The award recognised a design first in the Saffire welding blowpipe with a solid handle and also the ability to handle different gases, including propane, with a simple mixer change.
From the original nozzle mix system, the Saffire gas product range has been dramatically developed to embrace flashback arrestors, regulators and other devices all synonymous with Safety First.
Today flashback arrestors are fitted to all oxy-fuel welding/cutting systems and the use of this product is universally recognised as good procedure by Health and Safety Executives and factory inspectors.
All Saffire products are now supplied under the quality management system of BS EN ISO 9002.
Versatility in use and on-going product development have been instrumental to the success of the Saffire brand.
No more clearly is this seen than in the current Saffire 5 welding, cutting and gas process system.
Its application area is immense throughout all sectors of industry and it can be used for heating with acetylene and propane, flame cleaning, rivet cutting, circle cutting, gouging and sheet cutting.
It is a system that provides a solution for so many jobs on a day-to-day basis in the workplace.
Saffire branded products have always also been developed in response to changes in the market place.
Regulators, for example, have been closely linked to increases in cylinder pressure.
Saffire has met the challenge of providing safer controls through clever and careful technical developments.
Saffire products do not stand still.
They have over the last 50 years set standards that others imitate but will never better.
The next 50 years promise to be just as noteworthy for the brand. Request free introductory details about products from Murex Welding Products ...
