The Murex Transarc 250 three-phase, 400V, portable power source for MMA and TIG welding can operate with extra long mains cables, over 100m, providing a very wide larger working radius.

Murex Welding Products has introduced its robust and durable Transarc 250 MMA/TIG welding portable power source.

It is a 400V, three-phase unit equipped with a Power Factor Connection (PFC) circuit.

So the full range of the machine can be operated on a 10A fuse.

The PFC also protects the machine against fluctuating mains voltage and makes it safer to use with a generator.

It can operate with extra long mains cables, over 100m, providing a very wide larger working radius.

The Transarc 250 features large cable connectors for higher durability.

Its compact design, with its impact resistant polymer casing is light and easy to carry, yet the size does not compromise the important cooling of the internal components.

The design also helps to keep all sensitive parts inside the machine clean and dust free.

It is built in accordance with IP23 for outdoors use.

The Transarc 250 has a choice of two control panels, both with a digital display and a remote control function.

1 - The basic panel has a choice of MMA or TIG welding with LiveTig start in TIG mode.

2 - The more advanced panel gives hot-start and arc force control to fine tune the welding, a choice of MMA or TIG welding, LiveTig start in TIG mode, two memories and remote control facility.

In MMA mode, the electrode type can be chosen and the machine optimises the welding performance automatically.

Both panels are easy to understand and set.

The Transarc 205 is a professional welding machine for indoor and outdoor use.

It can be used for applications including repair and maintenance work, typically in ship and boatyards, building and construction, the offshore industry, power generation and the process industries.

With the Transarc 250 all types of electrodes, from 1.6mm-5mm, including basic, rutile, cellulosic and high-recovery can be used to weld alloys, non-alloyed steels, stainless steels and cast iron.
