Murex offers courses for gas equipment inspecting

Murex Welding Products has announced City and Guilds accredited gas equipment inspector training courses for 2009.

The courses provide qualifications that allow safety testing of oxy-fuel gas welding systems.

The first day features a lecture on oxy-fuel gas safety, the properties of gases, safe use and operation of systems.

The second day focuses on practical training to teach candidates how to test an oxy-fuel gas station.

Each candidate will receive a detailed test manual and a tool kit for inspections.

The course is suitable for anyone responsible for the safety of oxy-fuel gas systems, including safety officers, maintenance staff, supervisors or technical college and school lecturers.

The two-day courses will take place at the company's headquarters in Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire.

Residential accommodation is provided.

Course dates for 2009 are: 25-26 March, 20-21 May, 23-24 September and 18-19 November.
