Gloves protect from mechanical risk

Mapa Spontex UK has introduced the Ultrane range of polyamide knitted gloves to give maximum added protection with minimum loss of dexterity

Mapa Spontex UK has introduced two gloves to its Ultrane range of gloves, designed to combine optimum protection against mechanical risks with optimum dexterity and grip Ultrane GRIP 561 and 562 are grey polyamide knitted gloves with palm and fingers coated with black nitrile foam, curved fingers and contoured palm

Reduced glove thickness and seamless knitliner offer high finger sensitivity while a hand specific design gives a precise fit.

Offering resistance to punctures, tears, cuts and abrasions, the gloves have a non-slip finish for an optimum grip and offer resistance to oil and grease contamination.

As such their main fields of use are in the automotive industry and for intricate assembly work common in the electronics sector.

The gloves also cater to the plastics industry, packaging activities and any work that involves sorting or handling small components.

Mapa is a leading global manufacturer and supplier of industrial and critical environment gloves with a fifty-year history of innovation in quality hand protection.

The new Ultrane gloves complement the other gloves in the range, allowing a greater choice than ever before.

When it comes to protection against mechanical risks, there is an Ultrane glove for practically every occasion: Ultrane 550 and 551 are designed for increased sensitivity in intricate assembly work, handling microprocessors and assembling electronic components.

In addition to that the 550 can be used within clean room environments and for manufacturing pharmaceutical products or processing cosmetics.

Ultrane 553-554 offer superior resistance to oil and greasy components and excellent precision ideal for screwing and bolting, manufacturing engine pumps, light maintenance work, light handling, packaging and warehouse duties.

Ultrane 555 is designed for riveting high-frequency antenna, displays and LED assembly, manufacture of gear box and power steering, while Ultrane PLUS 557, which is a Dyneemau support glove with excellent mechanical properties is ideal for intricate assembly work, glass work, handling small cutting parts and ceramics.

The Ultrane range was developed by our technical experts in direct response to an increased demand for gloves that give maximum added protection with minimum loss of dexterity, explains Mapa Sales Director, Chris Gordon.

But we were aware that good grip was also an issue and the new gloves were designed to meet that very specific need.

Another new Ultrane glove primarily for oily and heavy engineering work will follow later this year.

Mechanical risks covers a broad spectrum and we are pleased to be able to broaden the Ultrane range to give even more scope for hand-picking the best glove for the job. Request a free brochure from Mapa Spontex UK ...
