How to develop IT systems using BPM
A seminar designed to educate on how to develop IT systems will feature a case study to show how business process modelling supports IT system design.
A case study on a customer, Davis Langdon and Seah, is the focus of a seminar on how to develop IT systems that are in alignment with business requirements, being presented in London, UK, on February 22, 2007, by the UK division of MEGA International, a leading business process modelling (BPM) and enterprise architecture (EA) specialist.
To be presented by Kevin Deeley Graham of Davis Langdon and Seah, the case study will describe how the company used the MEGA modelling approach to support its IT systems design in a consistent way, from the capture of its key business requirements to the detailed specification of the systems themselves.
One of a series of informative 'Focal Point' seminars run by MEGA UK, the morning event will take place at The Courthouse Kempiski Hotel, 19-21 Great Marlborough Street and will comprise three presentations followed by a question and answer session.
The seminar will start at 9.00am and finish at noon.
Ludovic Relandeau, vice president of UK Operations, MEGA International, will open the seminar with a session entitled 'Analysis and design are key steps in developing flexible IT systems'.
He will be followed by Kevin Deeley Graham, IT Associate, Davis Langdon and Seah, presenting the case study on 'The adoption of Enterprise Architecture at Davis Langdon and Seah'.
Davis Langdon will then round off the seminar with a presentation about 'Deploying MEGA at Davis Langdon and Seah'.
"The aim of the Focal Point seminars MEGA devises and presents is to help organisations learn more about the principles and practice of BPM and EA, and the great value these methods potentially bring to the performance of a business," said Relandeau.
"The most instructive way to convey this value is through real-world case studies which demonstrate best practice, and just as important - realistically include the type of potential and costly issues that may be avoided," he said.
Delegates wishing to attend the event are invited to register at the MEGA Web site or call Claire Gerardin.
