A Mykal Industries product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Sep 14, 2005

Automatic enclosed cleaning units eliminate manual cleaning operations, reduce exposure to hazardous solvents, increase cleaning efficiency and reduce VOC emissions.

As legislation regarding the use of solvents in the workplace continues to tighten and solvents are continually re-classified into more hazardous categories, many companies are looking to improve their Health and Safety profile but still require a solvent based cleaning process.

The Myquip Solvent Parts Cleaning System from Mykal Industries can help those companies to find an answer.

By offering an Automatic Enclosed system, the Myquip range can dramatically reduce the occupational exposure risks involved in handling solvents, particularly those involved in manual cleaning processes.

The Myquip LR Range of Solvent Spray Washers are suitable for the automatic washing of tools, pots, spray guns and components contaminated with oil and grease, paints, inks, resins, sealants and adhesives.

The Myquip LR600 and LR800 Units are fitted with pneumatic pumps to draw solvent from a side tank and deliver it under pressure through spray nozzles into rotating wire baskets which hold the components to be cleaned.

The solvent then flows back into the tank through a filter system to remove any solids and contaminants.

All units are manufactured in stainless steel and are available in 600mm and 800mm basket sizes, with 50 litre and 60 litre tanks respectively.

The Myquip range also offers optional extras including a 'Venturi' Suction Valve System to remove solvent vapours, additional spray bars for extra cleaning power, and an automatic timing system.

The benefits to industry of these units include eliminating manual cleaning operations, reducing exposure to hazardous solvents, increasing cleaning efficiency and reducing VOC emissions with a contained cleaning process When combined with Mykal Cleaning Technology Solvents, hazardous products like MEK, Acetone and Toluene can also be eliminated from the cleaning process.

These Mykal solvents can be linked to a dedicated solvent recovery plant to provide closed loop cleaning and recycling.

The Myquip Solvent Parts Cleaning System can provide an automated solution to your difficult cleaning problems while complying with legislation and without damage to the environment.
