Fast dry cleaner removes solvents from
panels
A dry cleaner is removing highly flammable solvents from pressed steel panels whilst drying within a time frame, with no paint adhesion problems, while reducing solvent use by 60%.
Fast Dry Precision Cleaner (DSI 1000FD) from Mykal has enabled a large manufacturer of automotive panels to remove highly flammable solvents from their production lines, with the greatest usage being in the Panel Shop After the panels are pressed (stamped) to shape, all traces of pressing oil needed to be removed before painting

UK's MOD approves cleaning fluid
Following trials with a variety of products, a cleaning fluid has gained the UK's MOD Defence Standard number 08-121 (NES 844) for the cleaning and preparation of surfaces prior to bonding.
The process involved operators using rags, soaked in Highly Flammable solvent, wiping the whole panel prior to them being painted.
The two criteria Mykal needed to meet were all traces of pressing oil must be removed and the panels needed to be dry before reaching the painting operation, or serious problems with paint adhesion would arise.
Fast Dry Precision Cleaner (DSI 1000FD) removed the pressing oil effectively whilst drying within the necessary time frame.
Following these successful trials a controlled factory bulk trial was undertaken, which again proved to be successful.
The customer has been using this process with Fast Dry Precision Cleaner (DSI 1000FD) successfully with no paint adhesion problems.
They have also reduced their solvent consumption by around 60%. Request a free brochure from Mykal Industries ...
