MicroMain Corporation, a leading provider of asset and facility management software and services, has announced the promotion of John Conroy to vice president of services and training.

Previously director of training, Conroy will provide leadership for expanded service offerings for users of MicroMain's software suite.

Users - in virtually every industry managing assets and facilities - include maintenance technicians and supervisors, facility staff and managers, and persons responsible for capital planning.

"Training has been the cornerstone of our services, and we will continue to offer basic training at our Austin and Chicago Training Centers, on-site at customer locations, and via the Internet," said Conroy.

"Because our user base is growing rapidly, we are expanding our training team to deliver an expanded roster of training options.

We are responding to more and more requests for in-depth training on our systems, reports, and key areas such as mobile maintenance and data-enabling facility drawings.

We will also be offering additional refresher courses and customized training options." In addition to increased training for MicroMain XM, the company's flagship computerised maintenance management system (CMMS), MicroMain is offering new training options for MicroMain FM, its computer-aided facility management (CAFM) system.

Training will also be available for new products, such as the capital planning application to be released Q206.

Service offerings beyond training will also increase under Conroy's leadership.

"In response to our facility managers' needs, we've added more CAFM services," Conroy said.

"The primary request is for AutoCAD services, which are related to data-enabled facility drawings.

We are also providing more data conversions, assessments, and consulting for our MicroMain FM users.

We are providing additional services for MicroMain XM users, as well, from populating databases to evaluating CMMS efficiencies." He added: "We are also anticipating increased demand for services related to the new products we will be introducing this year.

It is an exciting time to take the helm of services and training at MicroMain." * About MicroMain - MicroMain Corporation provides award-winning asset and facility management software and services to organizations worldwide.
