'Ball' technology to feature in DROs
Reinforcing its reputation for innovation, Newall Measurement Systems will be unveiling several major new developments in linear encoder and readout technology at MACH 2002.
Digital linear encoder is 'on the ball'
Featuring a novel 'ball' technology, this digital encoder is competitively priced against glass- scale encoders and significantly reduces fitting time and dramatically increases efficiency levels.
Over the last 30 years, Newall has created a leading market position for its Spherosyn and Microsyn linear encoders.
Featuring Newall's unique 'ball' technology, both encoders are competitively priced against glass scale encoders and offer significantly reduced fitting times.
Their robustness and ability to operate under the harshest machine tool environments is world famous.
Sealed to IP67 rating, Spherosyn and Microsyn are shockproof and capable of operating even when fully immersed in oil, water, coolant or swarf.
Both products have been proven in a wide variety of applications around the globe.
Available with industry standard TTL output, Spherosyn Digital and Microsyn Digital connect directly with NC and CNC controls, as well as other TTL compatible DROs.
The encoders are suitable for replacing or supplementing existing glass scales in single and multiple axes applications and offer resolutions of between 0.5 micron and 10 micron.
To complement the Spherosyn Digital and Microsyn Digital encoders, Newall will also be exhibiting it's range of digital readouts.
Representing the very latest in digital readout system design, both DROs are suitable for replacing or upgrading existing readouts.
Visitors to Drives and Controls 2002 will have the opportunity to witness Newall's digital encoders and DROs in action, with working demonstrations of its products; while expert staff will be on hand to explain how Newall's products can help manufacturers and end-users maximise efficiency.
