Machine tool industry effort wins award

Christopher's application in particular demonstrated his commitment to the industry with an enthusiasm that deserved recognition." Christopher collected his award and a cash prize at the NEC in Birmingham during a ceremony at MACH 2002, the premier international exhibition of machine tools and manufacturing technology.
"It was very exciting if a little nerve wracking," said Christopher.
"Not only were the company's directors there to congratulate me but my family also attended to wish me well." Newall Measurement Systems is dedicated to raising industry standards by developing new talent and has been recruiting gifted students from engineering colleges in the Leicester area to this end for over 15 years.
