Reinforcing its reputation for innovation, Newall Measurement Systems will be unveiling several major new developments in linear encoder and readout technology at MACH 2002.
Digital encoders and DROs designed to reduce costs
Several major new developments in linear encoder and readout technology are aimed at reducing costs for machine tool builders and systems integrators.
Commenting on the order, Bob Massam, Sales and Marketing Director at Newall, said the distribution arrangement would benefit both companies.
"It gives us a formidable presence in the German market with a large dealer network distributing our products.
For Preisser, the deal extends its offering with complementary products manufactured to the highest standards." German machine tool manufacturers have developed a reputation for unwavering manufacturing standards and an unrivalled attention to detail.
This philosophy has created a business ethos that has established a level of manufacturing excellence that, Massam believes, creates an ideal setting in which Newall's DRO systems will flourish.
He said: "The German market is eager to get its hands on the new technologies that we incorporate into our systems, but they also demand reliability - no matter where the DRO is to be used.
We provide them with British-made, high-quality products that work in any manufacturing environment." The arrangement enables Preisser to sell Newall's digital readouts through its extensive network of agents and distributors.
The EUR 40,000 order is for multi-axis DROs, all of which are covered by a five-year warranty and housed in rugged, cast zinc alloy casings.
Newall also manufacturers Spherosyn and Microsyn measuring scales, which rely on a ball-based system to provide accurate and reliable machine-tool measurement.
Preisser manufacturers a range of high quality, precision measurement instruments from its factory in the Black Forest.
The distribution agreement will help it to expand its range of measuring instruments, which includes calipers, height gauges, rules and squares. Request free introductory details about products from Newall Measurement Systems ...
