CAN interface module widens measurement
capability
With the FP-1300 CAN interface module, engineers now can expand the capabilities of CAN-based measurement systems to include reliable distributed input/output (I/O).
FieldPoint provides high accuracy, isolated analogue and digital I/O modules, adding direct CAN connectivity to virtually any sensor or actuator National Instruments expands the functionality of its controller area network (CAN) product line to provide access to more than 50 I/O modules and simplifies its configuration with the release of the new FP-1300, FieldPoint CAN interface module, and the NI-CAN 2.0 driver software

FieldPoint provides high accuracy, isolated analogue and digital I/O modules, adding direct CAN connectivity to virtually any sensor or actuator.
With this new CAN interface module users can easily add CAN nodes, containing up to nine I/O modules (144 points) each, to existing CAN networks.
The FieldPoint CAN interface module is fully configurable with NI-CAN 2.0 software so engineers can specify arbitration ID and customise I/O data configuration.
The new NI-CAN 2.0 software features a programming interface with high-level functions that dramatically reduce the programming time to synchronise CAN frames with data acquisition readings and overall programming by two- thirds.
NI-CAN 2.0 includes new configuration tools, providing access to Vector database files so users can convert raw CAN data to engineering units.
Engineers now can benefit from easy system debugging with additional tools used for monitoring frames on the CAN network or function calls to the driver. Request a free brochure from National Instruments ...
