Pre-owned CNC lathe centre is a success

Within 18 months of setting up its pre-owned showroom and demonstration centre for Citizen, Boley and Ikegai CNC lathes, NC Engineering has re-installed 33 machines to UK customers.

Says managing director, Geoff Bryant: "The greatest demand is for machines under five years old and we even have a waiting list of potential users and customers who are looking to adjust capacity requirements without the outlay for a new machine." Quite often customers come along to NC Engineering and want the confidence of installation and support from the sole UK agent to meet capacity shortfalls or for applications when the budget to buy new is not available.

"We have also been a source of machines for start up companies which have then followed to buy new," added Geoff Bryant.
