CNC sliding head autos do the jobs in one hit
When a company produces one million power tools a year, cycle time and lead time reduction is the name of the game to improve productivity, which is why it chose two Citizen M32 sliding head autos.
During 2006, Citizen previewed its A20-VI around the world some six months prior to its launch.
The resulting high level of orders gave Citizen the confidence to increase build schedules to meet a demand, which far exceeded forecasts.
Also, by taking onboard customer comments, certain changes to the machine specification were able to be incorporated prior to full machine production.
The Citizen A20 is now available in the UK as a 'ready-to-run' package for GBP 65,000 that includes barfeed, workpiece conveyor, long part attachment and Sandvik Coromant's QS quick-change tool system.
Alongside the pre-production machines Citizen will be showing under power examples of the latest versions of the current machine range including the UK's top seller the M-Series, as well as L,C, K and A types and the linear drive R-Series.
