The Osprey will bring excellent results to a broad range of applications, needing a simple yet effective machine system, including routing, engraving, plasma, laser and water jet cutting The Osprey machine is pre-assembled at the factory, fitted with servomotors, datum switches and a wiring harness.
The harness extends to the AMC control; this houses all of the motion control elements of the system, including the drive amplifiers and power supplies necessary to drive the machine.

Website designed to ease machine control selection
When a new machine control system is sought, risks can be minimised by consulting a new website looking at, for example, machine PC control and controls and drives selection among many topics.
The machine is configured and tested as a system before shipment ensuring that the system will work first time, when it's received.
After testing, the Osprey is broken down into kit form and packed into 4 cases, the mechanical system is provided in three sections, with the control unit in the fourth.
When the cases are received, the mechanical sections are removed from the cases and bolted together using the 16 bolts provided.
The wiring harness, which has all the mating connectors fitted is then connected to the back panel of the AMC controller.
The customer is now ready to run job programs.
The machine is available in a range of table sizes, from 2 x 2 feet to 20 x 20 feet.
The system comes complete with a shop proven, state of the art North East Electronics AMC machine controller and Graphical Programming Software.
GPS as well as giving an easy method of job creation; it can convert files from any CAD package, including DXF and HPGL into machine codes.
It allows manually or graphically editing of the job program sequence, to which I/O sequences and tool offsets etc can be added, before sending to the AMC controller.
What is the background to this product? During many years of successfully supplying motion and machine controllers, to a wide variety of system builders, North East Electronics, have often been asked to assist in sizing motors and drive amplifiers, tuning servo motors and providing help with wiring and commissioning the finished system.
It is frequently found that the system builder does not consider these tasks from the outset, however they do represent a significant part of any machine development project.
By providing a complete, flexible and tested mechanical and electronic gantry system, North East Electronics believe that the Osprey resolves these potential problems in a simple solution.
