Hydraulically operated versions from the mid-range of its Profi Ti air hoists can now be supplied by J D Neuhaus These are designed for safe operation within hazardous areas, and can be used as a viable alternative to air-operated hoists where hydraulic lines, centralised hydraulic systems or hydraulic power packs are already in existence

Air hoists offer better performance and safety
Air hoists that have lifting capacities from 3.2 to 16 tonnes and lift heights up to 3m combine higher performance, reduced noise and greater safety with increased lift/lower speeds.
Air hoists meet food industry hygiene standards
J D Neuhaus is now supplying air hoist products to comply with the cleaning and hygiene levels for food industry installations and withstand wash down conditions.
Neuhaus compact lifting equipment is light
A wide range of compact lifting equipment by J D Heuhaus is lightweight enough to provide portable material handling that complies with current safety and working practice regulations.
Five hoists are currently available in the range, with lift capacities ranging from 3 to 20 tonnes.
These are suitable for a wide range of engineering applications where there are potentially explosive atmospheres, or where dust, humidity or elevated temperature conditions occur.
The units operate with an intake pressure of 130bar, utilising mineral oils or fire resistant (HFC) fluids.
Other operating pressures and fluids can also be accommodated if required.
Due to the modular constriction of the Profi Ti range, the robust hydraulic gear motor capsule can be easily interchanged with an existing air operated motor unit.
This offers super-silent running, and is provided with sensitive, infinitely variable control of both lifting and lowering speeds.
An integrated overload cut-out switch is also provided, together with a controlled load-lowering facility in the event of a power supply loss.
Only two supply connections are required for the hoist and any oil leakage is drained internally.
The standard advantages of the technically advanced Profi range are maintained, including a low-headroom design enabling operation within confined areas.
Unlimited switching operations at continuous working guarantees 100% duty rating, while ease of operation and minimum maintenance ensures less downtime.
An Ex classification is provided as standard for explosion-proof operation, while optional increased spark protection can also be made available for higher explosion group ratings.
