The new variant can house any combination of Intel Xeon, Intel EM64 or AMD Opteron Processor in the same compact chassis.
This versatility gives users the flexibility to meet the demands of both current and future business requirements without sacrificing performance - thus protecting software investment and reducing the total cost of ownership (TCO).
Constructed from Industrial grade hot-swappable components, the HS416 has been designed for high-availability with modular fan and power supply systems.
The blades are housed in a high-density 4U chassis that can support up-to 8 blades with PCI-X slots and 4 rear blade bays for advanced networking and management.
Each server blade can operate with "off-the-shelf" PCI-X add-on cards, such as Fiber Channel HBA, SSL accelerator, or Infiniband HCA, to meet diverse application requirements.
That means, with simultaneous 32-bit and 64-bit computing, the NexBlade HS416 can be tailored to fulfill the extreme applications which require high-performance computing and intensive I/O.
The NexBlade HS416 runs intelligently and efficiently as it is based on aggregated computing power, thereby expanding network throughput, flexibility, availability and serviceability.
With load balancing, exhilarating network throughput, broad and super-fast I/O data paths, the NexBlade HS416 is ideal for building up both large-scale computing clusters and on-demand infrastructures for today's service providers.
