Single extractor serves ten vehicle
exhausts

It is essential that vehicle exhausts fumes from repair workshops are extracted away from the working area and vented safely to atmosphere At Rydale BMW, a main dealership in Newport, South Wales, the purpose-built service and repair workshop had a Nederman exhaust extraction system installed from the outset to keep the working environment clean, healthy and pleasant for the staff that work there

Each of the ten bays has its own exhaust extraction point with a reel that keeps the hose safely retracted out of the way when not in use.

All ten exhaust extractors are served by a centralised high-volume extraction fan that vents the exhaust gases to atmosphere.

To save energy and reduce noise levels, each reel is fitted with a damper that automatically shuts off the vacuum when the hose is retracted.

Rydale chose Nederman after receiving quotations from several alternative suppliers.

Having had excellent experience with Nederman equipment at other branches of the company, it was felt that the system proposed by Nederman would best meet the requirements, remain reliable over many years, and would be cost-effective to purchase, install and operate.

Steve Walker, workshop foreman, states: "We were proved right in every respect, because we have never had a problem with the system.

"The technicians find it easy to use and totally effective at removing exhaust fumes".
