North American Tool Corporation has introduced the 'QC' Cost Cutter, a unique quick-change, hex drive combination drill and tap These quick change drill and taps are ideally suited for on-site tapping in construction, maintenance and repair, assembly, production, and other environments where one pass drilling and tapping saves time and costs

The 'QC' Cost Cutter line is available in various styles of boxed and pouch sets.

Set contents can be customized to fit specific applications with drill and tap tooling, quick change chuck, extension, as well as other specified 1/4in hex drive bits.

'QC' Cost Cutters are designed to perform two operations - drill and tapping - in one pass, making them a truly unique hex drive tool.

The drill is designed with a split point, which eliminates the need for center drilling/punching.

The 'QC' Cost Cutter is made for through-hole tapping applications.

* Tap size range: inch: 4-40 through 3/8-24, metric: M4 X.7 through M10 X 1.50.

* Sets include: (1) auto-insert/lock-out quick change chuck with 3/8in shank; (1) quick-change power bit extension; fits all 1/4in hex products.
