Rotary table package ups MC output

Nikken Kosakusho UK were approached by Southend based engineering company 'IPE', a leading Aerospace manufacturer in the Essex area.
They were looking to ramp up production using an existing Matsuura RA1, twin pallet, machining centre.
Unknown to IPE, and most other UK customers, Nikken have recently introduced a turnkey support package.
This service allows Nikken to take on board complete rotary table installations.
Rather than supplying a 'bolt-on' unit, Nikken's experienced technical staff can properly plan and coordinate the process (from meeting to discuss initial requirements right through to design, final installation and training).
The IPE installation was thoroughly surveyed by Nikken's technical support team.
This allowed an initial proposal to be designed using Nikken's 'in-house' CADCAM facility.
The design was then provided to IPE who undertook to ensure that the proposal met their requirements and provided the necessary capacity increase to meet their production demands.
Once IPE were satisfied, and the order was placed, Nikken sourced manufacture of the necessary additional fixture and tooling requirements necessary to meet the design proposal (IPE sourced their own 'tombstone' appropriate to the parts which were to be produced).
Nikken did initially offer to also undertake this work, however, it was considered that the number of parts and therefore tombstones required would be too large - this was therefore treated as an ongoing project for IPE.
