By offering the widest standard optical magnification zoom (15x) in the world and the widest range of total optical magnification available 22- 4320x, the latest NEXIV VMR CNC Video Measuring Systems, which will be displayed on the Nikon stand (No.7210) at Inspex 2004, represent the perfect solution for the most demanding leading edge measurement tasks.
Combining a guaranteed U2XY accuracy of up to 1.5+2.5L/1000 microns with 8-segment LED ring illumination, for unrivalled edge detection, these enhanced non-contact systems represent the pinnacle of precision for tomorrow's manufacturing challenges, where sub-micron tolerances are demanded.
Sample throughput has been considerably increased by the use of advanced control technology and parallel data processing working in tandem with improved stage speeds of up to 300mm/sec.
Use of a progressive scan camera for rapid image capture enables the new systems to run the stage and process the image simultaneously.
This results in a substantial reduction in measurement time and prevents the system from being affected by vibration.
For les demanding measurement applications, the Nikon MM60 Series measuring microscopes boast a stage cross travel of 250mm on the X axis and 150mm on the Y axis and 200mm on the Z axis, while the compact MM40 Series offers 150 x 100 x 150mm.
To ensure their specification matches exact user requirements, a wide variety of configurations are available, including ones featuring a two or three-step coarse/fine focus knob, a monocular head and Z axis encoder.
