3D bench-top video measuring system

A Nikon UK product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Feb 19, 2007

Nikon Instruments has introduced a bench-top 3D video measuring system, the iNEXIV VMA-2520 that requires minimal bench space, yet combines a 250 x 200mm stage with a 200mm Z-axis stroke.

A simple-to-use, bench-top video measuring system, designed specifically for 3D work pieces, will be launched on stand F402 at MDT'07 by Nikon Instruments.

Priced to create a new entry point into video measurement, the iNEXIV VMA-2520 requires minimal bench space, yet combines a 250 x 200mm stage with a 200mm Z-axis stroke.

Together with a working distance of 73.5mm, these dimensions make it ideal for rapid QC checks and demanding RandD work on mechanical, pressed metal, plastic moulded parts, as well as medical devices and electronic components.

In addition to the latest NEXIV video measuring system, Nikon will also display examples from the LV Series of industrial microscopes.

These can now be configured with a wider range of illuminators and focusing units - significantly increasing their scope to be customised for use within OEM applications.

Award winning centreable CFI60 objectives and high mechanical quality serve to further refine images, which can then be captured using any of the many variants in the Nikon Digital Sight (DS) Series of cameras and controllers.

Visitors can also experience the unrivalled optical performance of the Nikon SMZ range of stereo microscopes.

These offer zoom ratios of up to 15X and a wide range of magnifications.
