Form metrology conference in Cardiff
As part of the Lamdamap Conference, the Engineering Measurement Awareness Network is running a dimensional metrology special interest group session looking at the applications of form metrology.
As part of the Lamdamap Conference, the Engineering Measurement Awareness Network (EMAN) is running a dimensional metrology special interest group (DMAC) session looking at the applications of form metrology at the Julian Hodge Building, Cardiff University, Cardiff, Wales at 2pm, 28 June, 2007.
The presentation and discussion session will include presentations on: Surface form and figure as applied to the HiPER high power laser system: Trevor Winstone, CCLRC Rutherford Appleton Laboratory.
Waviness and shape measurement using white light interferometry: Russell Evans, Omniscan.
MavisCal - Calibrating a 3D wound measuring device: Dr Peter Plassmann, University of Glamorgan, School of Computing.
Delegates registering for the DMAC session will also be able to attend the Lamdamap session taking place later that afternoon - "Surface Texture, Dimension and Form Metrology Techniques" including a further four presentations.
Actively stabilised optical device for potential on-line assessment of surfaces in ultra precision manufacturing: Prof Xiangqian Jiang, University of Huddersfield.
Sphericity Measurements with High Data Density and High Coverage: Dr Christian Maul, RedLux .
Error budget analysis of the form and dimensional metrology of spectroscopy mirror arrays: Paul Morantz, Cranfield University.
A Compact 6 D.O.F Geometric Error Measurement System with PSDs for Long Travel Range in mMT: Prof Seung-Han Yang, Kyungpook National Univ.
This is a way for EMAN/DMAC members to attend Lamdamap for two very relevant sessions.
(Usually attendance is based upon attending for the full four days).
