NJM/CLI will present its in-line Auto-Colt III pressure sensitive labeller at its Pack Expo Las Vegas - stand C-1600.

The company said that it can equip the Auto-Colt III with a range of options, making it suitable for many pharmaceutical and nutraceutical applications.

When equipped with optional RFID components, the RFID integrated Auto-Colt III System applies and verifies RFID tags on bottles and other item level containers using the primary labeller.

This RFID option allows manufacturers to combat counterfeiting and improve track-and-trace throughout the supply chain, thus achieving a higher level of security and control, said the company.

Integrating the Auto-Colt III with an overhead belt, pneumatic wipers and a rotary applicator, the system can label round containers with a partial wrap label and orient the bottle to accurately apply an outsert to the gap with tolerances of less than 1/16 inch.

That application, which traditionally required an expensive rotary labeller, can now be achieved with an economical in-line labeller.

With this option, the Auto-Colt III reduces capital costs, minimises floor space requirements, simplifies maintenance and speeds change-over, added NJM/CLI.

The standard servo-driven stainless steel Auto-Colt III handles round, oval, square and rectangular containers from one inch to 14" in height and from five eighths of an inch to seven inches in diameter at claimed speeds up to 250 container per minute (cpm).

It can apply wrap around labels as well as single and multi-panel labels.

The labeller can be changed over in less than 15 minutes with no tools required.
