Guardian MAXimus is an external storage solution that works with any computer that has a FireWire 400, FireWire 800, or USB2 interface.
It provides "live activity" backup/data redundancy via RAID 1 hardware mirroring, so that in the unlikely event of a hard drive failure its uninterrupted full data accessibility RAID-1 redundancy will ensure that there is no data loss.

Guardian MAXimus is compatible with Apple OS 8.6 to 9.2.2, OS X 10.1.x and later (10.2 or later required for FW800 and USB 2.0), and Windows ME and later operating systems.
It includes ProSoft Engineering Data Backup 3, NovaStor NovaBACKUP, and Intech SpeedTools Utilities software (a $200 retail value).
