Affordable, comprehensive document control offered
Electronic control can provide a secure, convenient solution, and a package is designed to deliver comprehensive quality standards document control at an affordable price.
Today, our solutions give back content editors a total freedom".
The solution shows interactive services broadcasted via a DVB-H flow and posted on a vehicle embedded receiver.
The interactive application is composed of a geolocalized version of the yellow pages service "118 218" provided by 'Le Numero', a subsidiary of 'The Number'.
When ones gets near to a given geographical area physically, a popup overlays the video and makes it possible within a few seconds to get information on the nearest restaurants, hotels, gas stations and the pharmacies.
NPTV's Bando technology, already deployed on 10 millions set-top boxes throughout the world, has been adapted to DVB-H.
It completes its availability to a vast majority of mobile devices, thus makes it the ideal tool for the development of interactive contents for this type of screens.
Moreover, the application showcased is an illustration of the services that could be deployed by "118 218" in terms of geolocalized moving services.
"We are currently studying all paths of development for our services.
The interactive mobile applications are particularly to be followed and we think we have a true legitimacy to offer our customers more services through these technological possibilities", declares Laurent Foisset, Marketing Director of the company "Le Numero".
Within the framework of collaboration with TDF, Udcast and NPTV, the MBDS Master of the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis implemented all the elements necessary for the broadcast of these applications via a DVB-H network.
"This ambitious project was carried out thanks to a good control of technical DVB-H environment and in the logic of excellence which rules at the University of Nice.
The MBDS is working in pioneering fields and on all projects that could be promising for the future.
The collaboration between all the partners was essential in the success of this project is pleased to say Serge Miranda, MBDS Master Director.
Fast, reliable and compatible with all available platforms, the technology developed by NPTV meets the needs of interactive handheld services in a DVB-H environment.
"Our goal is to prove, by removing the technological ordeals, the effectiveness of our technology on any digital television receiver, whatever the platform is; this demonstration just proves it" declares Jerome Chouraqui, NPTV's Marketing Director.
