Similarities of manufacture in gravity sand casting and moulding rigid polyurethane, gives Norse Precision Castings the versatility to work in plastic and metal The panel illustrated is well within their manufacturing capability in either material, including the very thin staves and was originally conceived in rigid polyurethane

Aluminium however offered better temperature stability for export markets.

With all the details in-house, Norse Precision Castings were able to trial both with minimum disruption to the production programme.

The design team at Norse Precision often recognise the optimum material, "Many have come in for one and gone out with the other" says Colin Steed, Managing Director.

Both have excellent machining characteristics and are light weight.

The variety of finishes available preserve the choice.
