A Neuronics product story

Robotic arms, developed and produced by Neuronics in Switzerland can operate in conjunction with humans, are intelligent, simple to operate and mobile.

Headquartered in Zurich, Neuronics provides automation where humans and robotics work in harmony.

The company's "Intelligent Personal Robotics by Neuronics" brand is rapidly gaining recognition on the international stage.

The robotic arms, developed and produced by Neuronics in Switzerland can operate in conjunction with humans, are intelligent, simple to operate and mobile.

As a result, many completely new application possibilities beyond the capability of traditional industrial robots are now opening up.

The company's core product "Katana" is an arm weighing a mere 4 kg that can be equipped with sensors so that it can detect objects intelligently.

Alternatively, a desired sequence of movement can be programmed by operator manipulation of the arm in teach-in mode.

Neuronics sells around 100 robots per year.

Its declared aim is to increase this by a factor of ten over the next five years.

According to founder and managing director Dr Hansruedi Fruh, the market potential is enormous - as backed up by the latest market studies.

Neuronics will therefore be more aggressively active than ever before in the European and World markets.

This intensified effort requires a differentiated growth management and also new requirements in all areas.

Recent months have seen a new emphasis on professionalism in both logistics and in marketing and sales: Production has been completely outsourced to a renowned technology company - Jossi, in Frauenfeld.

This will enable Neuronics to address the planned rapid growth in turnover, while guaranteeing the highest standards of production and assembly.

Development of global markets is the company's foremost objective: fulfilment of this ambitious target will be the responsibility of Christoph Staub, an experienced marketing and sales professional, who joined Neuronics in September 2006 from the Group Management of Romaco AG, a worldwide leader in process and packaging equipment.

Prior to that, Mr Staub held senior positions in internationally active companies in the medical devices, capital and consumer goods sectors.
