Bespoke fastener press solutions for mid- and high-volume fastener insertion applications, provide users with any - and every - possible pressing permutation for successful fastener insertion.

Northern Precision, the independent market-leading supplier of fasteners and special-purpose turned and cold-formed parts, will be showing the Arnold and Shinjo fasteners at the UK's MACH 2008 machine tool exhibition for the first time Northern Precision has recently benn appointed as exclusive UK and Ireland distributor for the Arnold and Shinjo fasteners and insertion systems from Germany

The MACH display will show how the Arnold and Shinjo system components can effectively develop bespoke fastener press solutions for mid and high-volume fastener insertion applications, providing users with any - and every - possible pressing permutation for successful fastener insertion.

"Whether fully or semi-automated, with/without robot workpiece handling or even integrated into an assembly or production line, the Arnold and Shinjo solutions provide highly productive yet cost-effective solutions," said Northern Precision sales director Steve Smith.

"To ensure complete confidence in the fasteners and insertion systems, all of the Northern Precision sales team has had extensive training in Germany.

This included a visit to Wagon Automotive, a company that manufactures primarily for the automotive sector, to see the fasteners and insertion systems in use".

Based on punching heads capable of up to 100 strokes/min coupled with high-grade dies and seats for optimal functioning, Arnold and Shinjo systems feature multi fastener distributors for up to eight punching heads - standard and bespoke can be supplied - quick-action couplings and simple torque testing instruments.

A variety of feeding units offer the continual supply of up to 20,000 fasteners for the standard ranges of Picasso and Sokrates punch heads (pneumatic locking, non-locking for C-frame use, double and block punch heads) as well as bespoke blocks.

Dies and dieholders can also adapted to suit the application.

Smith said: "Flexibility and adaptability is the key with the Arnold and Shinjo systems, and their availability from Northern Precision now means UK customers can capitalise on the capability available from a company that specialises in effective and efficient fastener solutions.
