Metal cutting/grinding lubricant is
water-soluable
A water-soluable metal cutting lubricant is suitable for use with all types of materials, ranging from commonly-used steels to exotic metals and carbides, using grinding as well metal cutting.
Oel-Held, a premier manufacturer of metalcutting fluids, has introduced a new water-soluable lubricant Rotorol Syn is suitable for use with all types of materials, ranging from commonly-used steels to exotic metals and carbides, and for all types of process

Coolant change improved tool grinder reliabilty
After investing over GBP 1/2 million in CNC tool and cutter grinders, reliability was poor because the user's coolant was aggressive to the machines - soon cured by using a new tool grinding fluid.
Specialist grinding fluid ensures high quality
To advance its grinding capability and improve the working environment, carbide tooling manufacturer switched to a specialist grinding fluid to ensure reliable high quality and ready availability.
It can be used for grinding as well as cutting metal.
When processing hard metal the cobalt contained in the metal is not affected by the solution, which remains transparent during the cutting process and does not take up any cobalt salts, which can be dangerous to the health of the operator.
As with other Oel-Held lubricants, Rotorol Syn is entirely safe in use and has been proven to be dermatologically harmless throughout numerous independent tests.

Machine tool filter keeps oils clear
Machine tool filter system provides one micron absolute filtration and is claimed to be the only filter system which can offer less than 3 micron filterability and produce crystal clear oil.
It is biodegradable.
It is very cost-effective in use.
Advantage of the new lubricant is that it can be used throughout a manufacturing plant regardless of which processes are to be employed, allowing the user the substantial cost-advantages of having only one lubricant and one supplier.
It requires minimal maintenance due to Oel-Held's unique formulation of the raw materials.
It is particularly useful when the workpiece needs to be observed during processing.
When mixed with water, a clear solution of high stability and with good anti-corrosive properties is produced.
It is amine-free so is extremely resistant against micro-organisms, which cause of the evil smell which can be produced by cutting fluids, the scum which can be formed on the surface of the fluid and also ? even more importantly ? a significant factor in the health hazards normally associated with cutting fluids.
It does not sink or resinify.
Residues stay liquid and are easily dissolved in water.
Amine-free, Rotorol Syn also does not contain mineral oil and is free from chlorine, boracic acid, and nitrite.
Density of the fluid at 20 deg Celsius (1.18 g.cm3), is to DIN 51 757.
pH value of a 3% solution (9.1) is to DIN 51 369.
Protection against corrosion at 5% (0-0) is to DIN 51 360 T2.
Concentration for working steel or non-ferrous materials is 3-4%, cast iron 3-5% and for grinding steel 2.5-3.5%.
The uniquely formulated Rotorol Syn has been developed by Oel-Held's own state-of-the-art metalworking fluids research laboratory in Stuttgart.
Metalcutting fluids from Oel-Held are developed specifically with health and environmental issues as the first priority.
It has dedicated its entire existence - over 60 years - to researching and developing high performance metalworking fluids which have no undesirable effect on either the workforce or the environment.
Fluids from the company eliminate virtually all the hazards associated with the use of metalcutting fluids because the substrate is harmless, there are no damaging constituents and the structure of the fluids prohibits the leeching of heavy metals.
Developing and manufacturing over a 100 different production fluids, plus tailor-made fluids for special applications, the company has invested many millions of pounds on identifying and developing base fluids and additives which are highly productive and cost efficient in use and which are proven unharmful to the skin, are not known to be carcinogenous, and cause little if any hazard to the environment.
