A range of manual non-contact measuring machines now includes a model with added stage capacity, delivering a measuring envelope of 200mm x 150mm x 150mm for low batch work.

OGP has further enhanced its range of manual non-contact measuring machines by adding a new size to the range of Starlite systems The Starlite 200 is introduced with added stage capacity, delivering a measuring envelope of 200mm x 150mm x 150mm, replacing the smaller Starlite 150 system

The Starlite 200, which will cost in the region of GBP 11,000.00, is equipped with a colour camera, zoom optics, automatic edge detection and fully featured metrology software to provide a flexible, low cost measurement capability, for small batch producers such as tool makers, engineering or plastics sub-contractors and R and D facilities.

Standard configuration includes a high resolution colour camera combined with a 6.5:1 motorised zoom lens and advanced, fibre optic lighting including sub-stage, ring and through the lens illumination sources.

Gage X is an easy to use, yet powerful, geometric metrology software which allows operators to select features for manual or semi-automatic measurement.

Operators bring the features to be measured into the camera 'Field of View' and simply click on the edge of the feature for automatic detection and inspection.

Each measurement task is recorded as a program step that can be recalled for subsequent parts ensuring repeatability and reproducibility across a complete batch of components.

Geometric tolerances are calculated and reported from the parameters entered, to meet ANSI or ISO standards.

Results can be printed in customizable formats or automatically stored for Statistical Process Control.

High resolution images can be captured and stored during inspection and used as visual records for defect analysis.

The Starlite 200 provides features and functionality pioneered on OGP's more advanced machines and is ideal for customers who only require manual operation but demand fast measurement and accurate results.
