Fast tool maker appoints business
manager
North East-based rapid cut tooling specialist, Omega Plastics UK, has appointed a new business development manager for the South of England and has opened an office in Cambridgeshire.

he was also plant manager for Krauss Maffei in Warrington.
Before becoming a sales engineer at Plashing, Simon served an apprenticeship in toolmaking at Bespak where he worked for six years.
Simon said: "Omega has a great deal of experience in several sectors, most notably, automotive, tele-electronic, medical and consumer goods.
While it already operates in the south, actually having a presence there suggests an extra commitment to existing customers and to other potential customers in the region." Omega Plastics is an Anglo-American joint venture and specialises in the supply of aluminium P20 mould tools in three to 30 days instead of the 12 to 16 weeks it takes with traditional materials and methods.
It can supply production standard injection moulded prototypes and production ready parts within the same timescale.
