Out-of-the-box support for automating IT workflows with the ability for a customer to modify the pre-defined workflows to fit their specific environment gains recognition for Opalis

Opalis Software, the Run Book Automation (RBA) software market leader that orchestrates, integrates, and automates IT operational processes, has announced that it has been named a "Cool Vendor" by Gartner in the "IT Operations Process Automation, 2007" report.

The report, published on March 9, 2007 and authored by analyst David Williams, provides analysis on IT operations process automation (also know as RBA), highlighting vendors that have built the greatest market awareness, have the largest growth, and are delivering the products that meet IT operations process automation needs.

Opalis provides out-of-the-box support for automating many IT workflows with the ability for a customer to modify the pre-defined workflows to fit their specific environment or create new workflows using an easy GUI-based process designer.

Neither coding knowledge nor scripting is required.

Opalis' software complements existing systems management products and the company provides Integration Packs for over 25 major IT management and provisioning products on the market today.

"We believe this Gartner report further validates the significance of Opalis' unique RBA approach," said Todd DeLaughter, CEO and president for Opalis.

"Our customers come to Opalis seeking help in automating and orchestrating critical IT processes".

"Obviously we're on the right track - over the past 12 months we have experienced record momentum with our customer base increasing to more than 800 worldwide and revenues rising by nearly triple digits".
