Out of the box IT workflow for Microsoft MOF
Opalis automates and orchestrates Microsoft system centre operations manager 2007
Opalis Software, the Run Book Automation (RBA) market leader with software that orchestrates, integrates, and automates IT operational processes, has announced its advanced support of Microsoft's Dynamic Systems Initiative and integration with the Opalis Integration Pack for Microsoft System Centre Operations Manager 2007.
As the only RBA vendor to achieve Gold certification by Microsoft, Opalis delivers deep integration with Operations Manager 2007 with out-of-the-box IT workflow processes for Microsoft Operations Framework (MOF) and ITIL best practices in Incident and Change Management that enable Microsoft customers to lower costs and accelerate deployments by managing across heterogeneous environments.
Opalis will be showcasing its RBA technology at MMS in Booth #125.
"Our customers come to Opalis seeking help in managing IT across multiple data and departmental silos with a single point of control for automating and orchestrating critical IT processes," said Yale Tankus, Vice President, Strategy and Business Development at Opalis Software.
"By integrating Opalis with Microsoft System Centre Operations Manager, customers are able to manage complex infrastructures with the only Windows-based RBA solution for Operations Manager".
Opalis RBA software incorporates the people, process, and technology required to orchestrate, integrate, and automate IT best practices, improving service delivery and service levels, while reducing operational costs.
This is achieved through extensive out-of-the-box support for automating many IT workflows with the ability for a customer to modify the pre-defined workflows to fit their specific environment or create new workflows using an easy GUI-based process designer.
Neither coding knowledge nor scripting is required.
Opalis software complements existing systems management products and provides Integration Packs for over 25 major IT management and provisioning products on the market today.
Opalis Integration Pack for Microsoft System Centre Operations Manager 2007 is available now and extends Opalis' existing product support for Microsoft System Management Server, Virtual Server, Active Directory, SQL Server, Exchange Server, and WMI.
These out-of-the-box workflow processes allow for IT Operations to integrate Operations Manager 2007 with management tools from BMC, CA, EMC, HP, IBM, and VMware and automate best practices and improve IT efficiency.
The Integration Pack provides IT professionals with the ability to automate incident and problem diagnostics and remediation processes and direct critical alerts to the service desk.
"We are very happy to have partners of Opalis' quality delivering integrations with System Centre Operations Manager 2007," said Carl Coken, Director, Strategic Alliances Management and Solutions Division at Microsoft.
"With this integration, Microsoft customers can control complex IT systems and processes and increase service levels delivered with Microsoft System Centre Operations Manager 2007".
