Novel drive frees open arc orbital
welders
Open arc orbital welding heads use a novel drive to provide a more compact design without any awkward motor housing getting in the way of operation.
Orbimatic, manufacturers of high precision orbital welding equipment have introduced the new concept Orbiweld TP Open Arc Weld Heads to their range of equipment The Orbiweld TP range is a major technology breakthrough in the concept of Open Arc Weld Heads

Arc voltage control module made for orbital welds
Orbital welding power supply can now be supplied with an arc voltage control module, which allows the unit to be used with the a new tube to tubesheet weld head.
This completely unique drive mechanism and the intelligent design of these heads has allowed Orbimatic produce these heads which are much more compact than any other design of similar weld head and have no awkward motor housing in the way.
This new design makes the heads not just easy to handle and comfortable to use but very robust and hard wearing.
The heads also have a simple and easy to use clamping mechanism which again is a new concept and allows a single head to be used on a wide range of tube diameters without any lose of weld quality.
The Orbiweld TP range will cover tube and pipe sizes up to 10ý and they can be used for welding tubes, pipes or fittings with little effort.
The heads can be used with or without an additional wire feed unit and incorporate a profile compensation mechanism which takes into account any ovality in the tube or pipe profile.
If you have been considering the purchase of Open Arc Orbital Welding Equipment then take a look at the Orbiweld TP and get a pleasant surprise.
