Orbital TIG head welds in tight clearances

An Orbimatic product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Jul 9, 2003

TIG welding head is designed for orbital welding applications with low radial clearance, such as tubes in boilers and rotary dryers.

Orbimatic has introduced the M34 weld head to their range of high quality orbital TIG weld heads.

The M34 weld head has been designed for applications with low radial clearance, such as tubes in boilers and rotary dryers.

The M34 can be used for applications which require an additional wire feed as well as being used for fusion only welds.

The M34 can cover tubes with outside diameters from 12mm to 46mm and the head is water cooled to give it a high duty cycle.

It can be used with welding currents of up to 200 amps.

The M34 weld heads have an on board wire feed unit and arc gap control mechanism which takes into account any ovality in the tube profile.

The torch angle and wire entry angle can be adjusted to suit the weld preparation and joint profile.

The M34 can be used with any ORBIMAT orbital welding power supply to give a technology leading orbital welding system.
