Lathe welds small, thin wall circular

Precision lathe is designed specifically for welding small thin wall circular components and uses an XY slide mechanism to manipulate the welding torch precisely.

Orbimatic has released the Varioturn RS 80-1R precision welding lathe These lathes are designed specifically for welding small thin wall circular components

The Varioturn has both torch carriage and headstock on linear carriages and are easily adjustable and can be locked into position with a pneumatic lock system.

A 300mm face plate as standard for attachment of tooling of a suitable chuck.

The torch carriage incorporates a pneumatic torch retract mechanism with a range of 150mm.

The torch can also be precisely adjusted with an XY slide mechanism.

The torch can also be tilted by up to 40 degrees.

The tailstock has a pneumatic advance for easy loading and unloading of components.

The lathe is equipped with a cold wire feeder, consisting of drive unit, wire guide and micro-adjustable of the wire feed nozzle.

The standard Varioturn can accommodate components of up to 1000mm in length and 400mm in diameter.

It will handle loads of 80kg at 100mm from the head stock and 40kg at the tailstock.

The Varioturn can be controlled by the Orbimat C range of power supplies which will ensure a consistent current and rotation speed.
