Showing the automatic welding of 'pulled
tees'
Automatic welding of 'Pulled Tees' is considered to be too difficult by many involved in the manufacture of SS pipe work systems, but demonstrations at Weldex will prove otherwise.
Orbimatic will be running live demonstrations of 'Pulled Tees' being welded at the upcoming Weldex 2003 exhibition Welding of 'Pulled Tees' with automatic equipment is considered, by many to be impossible, or too difficult by many involved in the manufacture of stainless steel pipe work systems

Arc voltage control module made for orbital welds
Orbital welding power supply can now be supplied with an arc voltage control module, which allows the unit to be used with the a new tube to tubesheet weld head.
System prevents wrong weld head being fitted
Orbital weld head recognition system allows the power supply to recognise which weld head is fitted to the power supply so it will limit output and operation range to suit that weld head.
This demonstration will show just how easy this is and how versatile the Orbimatic range of equipment is.
The full Orbimatic range of Orbital TIG Tube Welding Equipment will be on show at Weldex 2003.
This includes the Orbimat C range of power supplies and Orbiweld fully enclosed and open arc weld heads.
The extensive features of the Orbimat C power supply allows several thousand Full Welding Procedures to be stored with full details of the application, not just a list of welding parameters.
The extensive data logging facilities also allow each weld carried out to be identified and the cycle values analysed.
The Orbiweld range covers tube diameters from 3mm to 275mm outside diameter and includes fusion only and wire feed weld heads.
Tubes up to 170mm diameter and 4mm wall thickness can be welded by the enclosed weld head range using a square butt preparation and the weld will be made in a single pass.
All tubes outside these sizes can be accommodated by the all new TP open arc weld heads.
Orbimatic are the only company in the world that are fully dedicated purely to Orbital TIG Tube Welding and their UK office supports the Orbimatic range.
Because they are dedicated purely to tube welding they offer a fully comprehensive customer support package and are not distracted by large turnkey projects or special systems.
Weldex 2003 will be held at the NEC in Birmingham from 11-14 November and is the ideal opportunity to see Orbimatics full range of Orbital TIG Tube Welding Equipment.
