Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Nov 28, 2003

Orbimatic sold a new Orbiweld TP open arc orbital TIG welding head from its stand at the recent Weldex 2003 exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham, UK.

Orbimatic displayed the new Orbiweld TP range of open arc orbital TIG welding heads at the recent Weldex 2003 exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham, UK.

The new Orbiweld TP range have some unique design features which have never been seen before in orbital welding equipment and this means they are very compact in design and are very easy to use.

One company was so taken by the new TP250 weld head that a verbal order was placed on the stand and was confirmed in writing within two days of the exhibition finishing.

The TP250 covers tube diameters from 15mm to 77mm OD with only a thumb screw to adjust to change between diameters.

The TP250 is available with or without a cold wire feeder to accommodate a wide range of wall thicknesses of tubes.

Steve Purnell, General Manager at Orbimatic commented: "Weldex 2003 was very rewarding for, it allowed us to contact most of our existing customers and it has helped us generate some other very good sales leads.

The order placed on the stand was a great boost and it proves what we have been saying about just how advanced our equipment is.".
