Water-cooled micro head welds small bore tube

An Orbimatic product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Dec 10, 2003

Water-cooled micro welding head orbitally welds small bore tube and micro weld fittings used in the fabrication of high purity SS pipelines for the semi-conductor and electronics industry.

For welding the type of small bore tube and micro weld fittings used in the fabrication of high purity stainless steel pipelines for the semi-conductor and electronics industry, the Orbiweld 12 and VK19 Water Cooled Micro Weld Head has been introduced.

These Heads can even weld micro fitting to micro fitting and will easily accommodate VCR type fittings.

Orbimatic GmbH have introduced the Orbiweld 12 and VK 19 Micro Weld Head to its extensive range of high quality orbital Tube welding equipment from Orbimatic.

Tube and fittings are held securely during the welding process by a unique triple clamping action.

This system also allows this weld head to be used in locations where space is a premium.

The VK19 weld head can be used for single handed operation with a side mounted latching for securing the clamps, therefore leaving the second hand free for loading of components.

The Orbiweld 12 and VK 19 achieve high production rates because of its extensive water cooling channels.

All main functions of the process are controlled on an in-handle control panel.
