Wide range of orbital welders capture data
Orbital welding systems, covering tube and pipe sizes from 2mm diameter up to 275mm outside diameter, perform all calculations and store a comprehensive range of details of the application.
One system has been built for the welding of hi-purity vales for the semi-conductor industry, and at the other end of the scale a system has been designed for welding fittings to the side of domestic hot water boilers.
Orbimatic have also been involved in building semi-automatic welding stations for internal diameter welding of convoluted hoses, in which an internal torch carried out two welding operation in one cycle with the torch being indexed to the welding joints automatically.
Another system was built for the welding of fittings to hydraulic tubes where the fittings were loaded into a cassette which was used to automatically load the fitting to the welding head.
The systems then positioned the welding joint centrally under the tungsten electrode before the welding cycle is commenced.
