Orbital weld cleaning and marking systems can be used for removal of oxides, which are left when TIG welding stainless steel, local electro-polishing and for marking of metal surfaces.

Orbimatic (UK), the manufacturer of technology leading Orbital TIG Welding equipment, have added the Nitty-Gritty weld cleaning and marking systems to their range of products.

Nitty-Gritty equipment can be used for removal of oxides which are left when TIG welding stainless steel, local electro-polishing and well as for marking of metal surfaces.

All these operations can be carried out with a single machine.

The Nitty-Gritty cleaning machines are inverter based making them lightweight and portable, as well as being very energy efficient.

Two models are available to suit the needs of the operator and amount of cleaning/marking the machine will handle.

Each machine is supplied with a cleaning probe and consumable starter kit, this can then be complimented with a marking kit which then allows the machine to be used to mark as well as clean.

Marking screens can be supplied to suit customer requirements and even complicated logos and images can be reproduced in a variety of sizes.

If the system is to be used for identification markings an optional label printer can be supplied which allows unique marking screens to be produced within seconds.

Two marking modes allow different marking styles to be achieved, the DC marking mode produces a imaged gives the impression of an etched image.

The AC marking mode produces an image which looks similar to a screen printed finish.

Both marking methods produce a permanent mark which will not be removed during routine cleaning or sterilising operations.

Orbimatic (UK) can also supply Nitty-Gritty's pickling paste removal and passivation test systems.
