Portable system removes TIG weld oxides
Weld cleaning and marking system can be used for removal of oxides, which are left when TIG welding stainless steel, local electro-polishing and for marking of metal surfaces.
Orbimatic (UK), the manufacturer of technology leading orbital TIG Welding equipment have announced details of the Nitty-Gritty Clinox.PRO weld cleaning and marking system.
The Clinox.PRO can be use for removal of oxides which are left when TIG welding stainless steel, local electro-polishing and for marking of metal surfaces.
The Clinox.PRO cleaning machine is inverter based which makes it lightweight and portable, as well as being very energy efficient.
Three cleaning settings ensure that the machine can be set for optimum cleaning efficiency for the application in hand.
A polishing setting is also provided to allow small areas to be electro-polished.
The Clinox.PRO includes an integral fluid pump and vacuum extraction system fro removal of fume from the cleaning probe.
The cleaning probe includes an extraction cowl around the cleaning bond pad which ensures all fume is extracted at source.
A marking kit can be added to compliment the package, which then allows the machine to be used to mark as well as clean.
Marking screens can be supplied to suit customer requirements and even complicated logos and images can be reproduced in a variety of sizes.
If the system is to be used for identification markings an optional label printer can be supplied which allows unique marking screens to be produced within seconds.
Two marking modes allow different marking styles to be achieved, the DC marking mode produces an image which gives the impression of an etched image.
The AC marking mode produces an image which looks similar to a screen printed finish.
Both marking methods produce a permanent mark which will not be removed during routine cleaning or sterilising operations.
