Orbis signs deal with Ascent Technology
Ascent Technology, the UK's largest Sage Line 500 reseller, has formalised a partnership with the international EDA (Event Driven Architecture) vendor, Orbis Software.
Ascent Technology, the UK's largest Sage Line 500 reseller, has added an extra dimension to its customers' ERP solutions by formalising a partnership with the international EDA (Event Driven Architecture) vendor, Orbis Software.
Following the company's recent acquisition by Ciber, Ascent Technology has added Orbis TaskCentre to its product portfolio to provide customers using its Sage solution with an additional level of proactive business management.
Malcolm Jones, marketing director for Ascent Technology, highlighted the rationale for the company's interest in Orbis TaskCentre when he stated: "Ascent has become the leading supplier worldwide for Sage ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) products by providing systems based around the sage products and integrating them with a range of Ascent's own software and third-party applications to provide a complete solution for each customer".
We were looking for a best-of-breed EDA solution which would sit on top of the core Sage business applications and deliver customers with the type of event-driven business process automation that will help them manage their business more pro-actively.
"Orbis TaskCentre will complement our existing Ascent Workflow product in this arena".
Our immediate objective is to demonstrate this leading edge technology to our UK customer base where we expect the adoption of this technology to be significant".
To start the educational campaign, Ascent Technology will be running a series of seminars throughout December and the New Year to illustrate the capabilities of business process automation technology and its importance in future IT projects".
"Philip Smith, managing director for Orbis Software, added: "Ascent Technology is the UK's largest Sage Line 500 reseller and this partnership represents a significant development in our Sage channel strategy.
"We are now providing additional resources to tighten our product range with all Sage products and Ascent Technology will be helping us in the Enterprise channel".
