The Sage Enterprise reseller channel has aligned its market strategy with pure-play Business Process Management (BPM) vendor Orbis Software .
This move is seen by many as a serious shift by the channel to strengthen its solution portfolio against competitor applications that harbour varying forms of embedded BPM capabilities.
The move towards Orbis Software's partner scheme, by the Sage reseller channel was welcomed by Philip Smith, Managing Director of Orbis Software when he said, "The Sage Enterprise channel were keen to illustrate how TaskCentre's BPM technology provides a major advantage over the ridged, embedding offerings found in many of today's ERP and CRM applications." He continued, "By leveraging the automation and workflow capabilities of a pure-play BPM application like TaskCentre, the Sage reseller channel are able to outperform major vendor solutions that predominately focus on the enterprise arena." This ideological shift towards greater application automation and connectivity is expected to see other vendor channels cosy up to BPM solutions in the coming months as resellers within the enterprise arena place greater importance on the strategic automation of their core business processes.
This was something that Philip Smith was also keen to highlight, "Particularly over the last six months, we have seen the industry hype surrounding pure-play business process management technology translate into strong channel demand for our technology".
"We are already experiencing a high level of interest in our partnering scheme from other vendor channels.".
